Location
I took the photo in a forest near Breda (Netherlands)Time
It was taken on a Sunday morning. There was no sun and it had rained a bit. Luckily it had stopped when we started our walk.Lighting
The light was soft as there was no sun. It was filtered through the leaves of the trees.Equipment
I used my Sony 7SM2 with a 70-200mm F/2.8 G lens. ISO 100, Shutter speed 1/125 and focal length 200mm. I did not use a flash or tripod.Inspiration
I love taking pictures of my dogs. They are great models and I often go out with them for a walk and take my camera with me. This time I took some pictures while she was standing towards me. Because she looked at something right next to me (something fell out of a tree) I could take this picture. I really like the look on her face :-).Editing
I did use some post-processing. I used Photoshop and blurred the background a bit and made the hard colours slightly more pastel. I cropped it a bit to position the dog better in the frame. In my camera bag
Sony A9, 70-200mm F/2.8 G lens, 90mm F/2.8 Macro lens, 50mm F/1.8 portrait lens 16-70mm lens. Tripod, Nissin flashes with a trigger.Feedback
Take pictures of animals on lying flat your belly. That way, the horizon is nice and low and you can create depth in the photo. Be patient and wait for the right moment. It's an animal, not a machine or object ;-)
