Location
This picture was taken in April 2017, during my visit to St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. It is one of Florida's oldest continuously running attractions. Not only does it have 24 species of crocodilians, but also a variety of other reptiles, mammals, and birds, as well as exhibits, animal performances, and educational demonstrations.Time
The shot was taken in broad daylight, at around 1 PM.Lighting
This was shot in the natural light and clear sky. The sun was high up and shining bright with no cloud cover.Equipment
This was shot in 2017. At that time, I was shooting using Nikon D7100. This is a handheld shot. This was shot at 65 mm using a AF-S DX Nikkor 18-300mm 3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens.Inspiration
I was looking at shooting a close-up of the birds. While doing, I noticed these three birds sitting on a branch - keeping a distance from each other. It seemed as if they had a fight.Editing
I did very minimal processing on the image - crop, sharpen, increased saturation. In my camera bag
I am currently shooting using Nikon Z7. I am using a NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S, a wide-angle (dx 10-24), Prime (50mm f/1.4), and a zoom (fx 70-300) for now.Feedback
When shooting handheld using big zoom lenses, especially if you are aiming up, it is very important to keep your hands still. Taking support, like say that of a railing or fence helps.
