Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Rennesøy near Stavanger in Norway. Rennesøy is a small island with farms.

Time

On my way to work at 3:50 in the morning I had to stop for some sheeps resting on the road, the cows was only 50 meters from my car waitng to be captured with the rising sun in the background.

Lighting

The sunlight and fog did most of the lightning.

Equipment

Handheld Olympus E-M1MarkII with 7-14 f2.8 at 21mm was used.

Inspiration

This picture on this location has been in my mind for a long time, the main concern has been that the cows are used to people and as soon as you stop they will come towards you to get some snack (apples or carrots :0)

Editing

I had to use dodge&burn in Lightroom to get the final result.

Camera:Olympus E-M1MarkII, Lenses: Olympus 7 - 14mm f2,8, Olympus 40 - 150mm f2,8, Olympus 300mm f4 and for macro Olympus 60mm f2,8

Feedback

Timing and location knowledge are essential. I know these cows are friendly and as there are no calves, there are no danger to be attacked by angry "mothers" :o)
