Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken during a local bikerace at Mosterøy in 2015. The race Klostermilene are a yearly event arranged by Rennesøy Syklekubb.

Time

The race started at 19:00 and last til 20:00. This is 10 minutes after start.

Lighting

Ambient light only. During the race it was heavy rain but at this moment the sun appeared in the right moment for this photo.

Equipment

Canon 1dx mk1, ef 300mm f2.8 mk1 and tripod.

Inspiration

Rennesøy Sykleklubb is a local club that I follow and take pictures for. Normally 5 to 10 races a year.

Editing

Only cropping in Lightroom 5.

In my camera bag

Canon 1DX mk2, Canon ef 300 f2.8 and tripod for bikeraces.

Feedback

Find a location that is safe as this is a road with a lot of traffic. Make sure to have the sun in the front of the riders and use TV ( minimum 1000/s and Auto Iso ) .
