Wow! Stunning cliffs. I know this is all natural but in a weird way the background almost looks like it has been Photoshop'd with multiple layers. Very cool!

Location
Great Australian Bight, South Australian coastline. While crossing the Nullabor plains, stopped for a view of the Bight. It was blowing hard. So hard I had my wife stand between the camera and the wind. Still had difficulty keeping the camera still enough to get this image. Waited for the wind pressure to drop, then took the shot. Took my time to line the coast line up at the one level. Due to the strength of the wind picking up the spray off the sea surface it has created the haze which can be seen.Time
About 11.00am, the weather was slightly overcast, hinting at rain. Which held off long enough for me to get this image. As with some images of sights that are captured often, each image has it's own merits, one no better than the next. Each a moment in time, this was my capture. For a while, my latest favourite. Again the flashes of memory it reminds me of that day I stood at the each of a cliff. Here is the proof.Lighting
Sometimes the view we see is not as clear as it appears. When I took a reading, it surprised me, as it seemed to be different to what I was seeing. The haze, created by the wind interfered with my visual perception. Again more about seeing not just looking. The light tells the story.Equipment
Canon 450D, with a 70-200L lens. No tripod, due to wind velocity. Had to brace yourself to stand in one spot. Used my wifes should to brace the camera from the wind. Then in a brief space of time took the shot.Inspiration
Oh the view. So many miles of deep ocean comes to a stop against this wall of rock. When I was looking along the coastline I saw the way the coast altered. Wanting to make a line of the coast. I shifted and moved till it all came together. Each time we visit a scene we look through different eye's, our mood influences our experience. Standing looking at this scene, the smell of the sea, the sights of the waves crashing into the rock faces, I wanted an image different to those I had seen of this site. At the time I thought about doing this at night, maybe next time I am driving through here, I will have the time.Editing

Do your best to make your image of the sight yours. Coping someone else is still a copy. Make a choice about what you want to show. It doesn't have to be the whole scene, a piece of a scene is till an image you have taken. Own the moment you have used to make that image. Think about what you want to present with your image, then create that image, try another angle, when it feels right you have achieved the result you want. Create the image in your mind then use your camera to deliver it. If the scene, subject is not working for you, work out why,can you fix it, think about what you want to achieve, and create. As much as you can have fun.
