Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at my house in Tustin, Michigan right off of my front porch

Time

I took this picture at approximately 1:30 AM, so it required a lot of waiting. I took numerous shots and had to adjust my settings several times but I was able to get this gem just before the milky way completely dropped behind the treeline

Lighting

For night sky pictures you want to be around zero lights for the best turnout.

Equipment

I got this shot on my Canon Rebel t6 using a tripod (don't remember the brand name) and a wide zoom lens

Inspiration

I've seen several different amazing night sky pictures and I want to get to that point eventually

Editing

I did a few small edits with the brightness on Adobe Lightroom and an app called Snapseed so that the stars would pop a little more

In my camera bag

I just recently got into photography so I only carry the basics like a long zoom lens and a wide zoom lens

Feedback

Do your research and be patient because a good night sky picture takes time
