A little visitor to our garden

Loved the smallness of the new tree, it seemed to be looking up and wanting to be big like the others

Not quite open all the way, I love the lines and circular pattern with the bright colors of the flower to be.

This is the country side of small area in Muskoka called Kearney. Stunning beautiful landscapes and nature there.

This duck was just floating in the blue water enjoying the sun and warmth.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Washago Ontario Canada at the Black River. Juvenile Trumpeter Swan.

Time

The time was around 2:20 pm

Lighting

It was a sunny day, I used a tulip lens hood and adjusted the lighting.

Equipment

I used a Canon 70D camera with a 70-300 zoom lens.

Inspiration

Looking down on the swan the pink in it’s beautiful beak showed up so well against its white feathers.

Editing

I did sharpen slightly, denoised slightly and added a bit of contrast.

In my camera bag

Camera, 70-300 zoom, 70-400 telephoto lens, macro lens and backup battery. Lens cleaner and I always a tripod in the car.

Feedback

I took this shot free hand so you need a steady hand, the sun was above me and slightly behind me. Be aware of your surroundings and how the light is hitting your subject.
