Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken on a sidewalk by my house. I am just a beginner in photography, my hopes and dreams are to become a professional photographer. I have had a time in my life I was more involved with photography and had much more time. Then there was a few twists and turns and my life had to start over. So when I stumbled across ViewBug it was truly an answer to prayer in expanding my photography skills and knowledge and seeing other photographers of all levels works of art.

Time

This picture was taken in the morning. I honestly do not know at what time.

Lighting

I am just a beginner. People have often told me that I am a natural photographer. Sometimes I have believed that. But I desire to learn more and know more. I don't know the terms of different lighting with photography, and I don't know how to explain what I do know about lighting with photography. I have experimented with lighting over the years. This particular picture, it is black and white but if you take that filter off. It's a beautiful sunny day with a positive vibe.

Equipment

At this point in my life I only can use my phone. A Samsung Galaxy A50. It is a selfie.

Inspiration

I was inspired to take this photo because I had had a long week at work and was going on a Mother daughter date, which is very rare for us since I started my current job. She is very Precious to me and has always told me to chase being a photographer because I love it so much. I took this picture to remind me that no matter where I am in life or what people tell me, I am beautiful and important.

Editing

Honestly I don't know what post-processing is. I have tried to submit my few words here and there but it won't let me submit unless I fill everything out. ????????????

In my camera bag

Right now I only carry my phone with me. I have a small camera that I used along with my laptop. But my laptop shut down so now I make money and wait until I have enough saved up to buy a new laptop and upgrade my photography equipment.

Feedback

Advice. Hmm. If anyone were to take a similar picture. It is really quite simple. I know there are some out there who might not think the same way. If you were to decide that you might want to take a similar picture to this, my first advice is Smile. There are lots of different smiles, if you want people to enjoy your picture I recommend putting on a nice, friendly smile. It really does help if the weather is nice. That is the best advice I think I am qualified for when it comes to selfies.
