Behind The Lens

Location

Ana is my cousin. We were in the garden of her condo that is located at Vila Velha city at Espirito Santo state, Brazil.

Time

It was after sunset and the light was fading. I love that kind of light because is not too strong and not to yellow. It is actually kinda blue and so the green of the plants are highlighted.

Lighting

It's very important to know the intensity of the light at each period of the day. There is no bad light. Every tipe of light is good for different tipes of photos.

Equipment

My camera Nikon D600 with 50mm 1.8f nikkor lens.

Inspiration

I love female portraits. And I always want to portray the feminine delicacy and beauty. At this photo I also wanted this delicacy with nature.

Editing

Yes. I think the editing is a very important process at photography. I use adobe lightroom to adjust the lights and photoshop to clear the skin.

In my camera bag

I love working with natural light so I usually only take my camera Nikon D600 and my two lens; Nikkor 50mm 1.8f and Nikkor 20-70mm 4.0f.

Feedback

Be aware with the light and always (if possible) know the place before you photograph. And talk to your model. Try to explain what kind of photo you want to make and listen to her ideas (sometimes that helps a lot). Be sensible to the models expressions, nobody is the same and sometimes the same pose will not be good for two models.
