Great capture! A really cute photo of the Mama and her little goslings!

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo when we went away for a weekend to Kingston, Ontario. We had so much rain that roads were flooded.

Time

This picture was captured mid morning during a break in the rain.

Lighting

I used the natural light of the day.

Equipment

I used a Sony a350 camera.

Inspiration

The mother duck was trying to guide the ducklings across the street and I started taking pictures. I wanted to capture how proud and protective she was of her young.

Editing

I used Photoshop to enhance the colours and I cropped out some of the surrounding area. I wanted the picture to really focus in on the mother and her ducklings.

In my camera bag

I normally have my Sony a350, a 50mm lens and a 200mm lens.

Feedback

Be aware of your surrounds, and capture the moment as it happens. Take a few shots to make sure you capture the exact image you want.
