Behind The Lens

Location

My family and I went for a walk in a local garden. I loved the vibrant colours of these flowers and had to take a picture to capture it.

Time

It was a really hot day, around mid afternoon.

Lighting

I used the natural light of the sun to capture this.

Equipment

I used my Sony DSLR camera and a 70-200mm lens.

Inspiration

I was experimenting with taking pictures of flowers that day. The bold colours of the flowers, and they way they were grouped caught my attention.

Editing

I used Photoshop to crop out some of surrounding area and to brighten the flowers to their original colour.

In my camera bag

I usually have either my Sony a35 or my Sony mirrorless camera on me. For bth cameras, I always have a 50 mm and a 70-200mm lens handy.

Feedback

My advice is to capture what you see, or what caught your attention. Try from different levels and angles and take a few shots….you will find one that is what you saw or imagined.
