Location

The photo was taken at Long Beach Shoreline Marina, California. This place nearby the historic the Queen mary Ship.

Time

I was walking around 4 PM take photos of the sunset. It was a good day and nice weather. I had my DSLR Nikon camera on tripod and My Sony mirrorless on my hand. It was the best time for golden hour and blue hour take photos. During spring season here sunset around 5 PM.This was taken on February 13, 2017 at 6.02 PM.

Lighting

I wanted this image to look in silhouette and dramatic the viewer into a scene in a story. There was some beautiful light after sunset in blue hour. I took my selfie and it was more than 10 shot to get this photo. I used iso 1250 at 1/80 sec in manual focus f/2.8 Fisheye Lens.

Equipment

This was shot on a Sony A5000, with a Rokinon 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II Lens for Sony E. No Flash and No filter

Inspiration

I was looking for a place to take a photo of sunset. This place close to the Queen mary ship and Marina. I was walking by myself and taking the photos around there. The weather was so nice and beautiful light on the way. I got a good spot and took my selfies that you see the ship in front of me and the light on my right side.

Editing

I processed this picture in Adobe Lightroom. I edited light and Crop it.

In my camera bag

Normally I have Nikon D7000 with 50mm, 55-300mm 105mm and 10-24mm. My second Camera is mirrorless Sony A5000, it's very small and easy to carry. The lens with sony E mount is sigma 19mm, rokinon 8 mm, and 18-55mm lens kit. My bag have extra battery, memory card and clean kit. Not every time I have to carry my tripod. It's depend on what do you want to take you need to use it or which place that you go such as beach, gardens, mountain or city.

Feedback

For selfie you need to see light, focus and composition. It's take more than one to get a good picture you will like.
