Location
This picture was taken on the main beach at Santa Barbara CA during our holiday drive from San Francisco along State Highway 1 along the coast to LATime
The photo was taken mid morning just after we had had breakfast before the next part of our drive to LALighting
Only natural sunlight on a cloudy day was used and no post editing performed.Equipment
The camara used was my hand held Canon DIGITAL IXUS 60 as it was an easy camera to carry around while sight seeing.Inspiration
The reason I took the photo was the great sand building work and the layout of the flags as a symbol of the deaths in the current war in the middle east.Editing
t There was no post-processing used on this photo as the only laptop I had was a Dell mini with no editing software instilledIn my camera bag
At the time of this trip I only had two cameras, the Canon DIGITAL IXUS 60 and a Fujifilm Finepix S5600 with a tri-pod. These cameras have now been replaced with Nikon D3100, D7200 and A100, with tri-pod and many filtersFeedback
Watch where the sun is and watch for shadows as these can ruin the image, a cloudy morning is best with a low ocean tide to keep water out of the picture.
