Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in my home. I bought a bouquet of flowers at a local farmers market. My wife loves Lily’s. They had just opened up & the scent was wonderful.

Time

Taken in the late afternoon after I came home from work.

Lighting

This is all natural light. The bouquet was on our dining room table which is next to a sliding glass door to our patio.

Equipment

Nikon D750 handheld with a Nikkor AF 60mm Micro f2.8 D.

Inspiration

The Lily’s colors & the sap, seemed to be a perfect Macro moment

Editing

No processing, at the time I was only shooting in jpeg. I hadn’t yet learned the advantages of Raw & post processing.

In my camera bag

I have a full bag, actually two as I have a small bag for quick trips & a large Lowe Pro that carries just about everything. Nikon D750, Nikon Z6 with FTZ, Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro, Nikkor AF 60mm f2.8 Macro, Nikkor AF-S 28-300mm f3.5-5.6, Nikkor AF-S 50mn f1.8, Nikkor AF-S 24-120mm f4, Nikkor AF-S 16-35mm f4, Nikkor AF-S 200-500mm f5.6, 3 tripods, an assortment of speed light, ring light & other accessories.

Feedback

The more I photograph & the more I learn, the more photo opportunities I see. I find myself looking at things with the how would I shoot this image perspective.
