Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at the aquarium located in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa.

Time

During a random visit to the aquarium with very low lighting inside.

Lighting

Fortunately there was sufficient light from the overhead down lighting to capture this image of the Lionfish.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100 with a Tamron 16-300mm F/3.5 - 6.3 lens. Hand held with no flash.

Inspiration

Just the absolute natural beauty of this creature.

Editing

Post-processing only involved the use of lightroom (the limited knowledge gained - self taught on internet)

In my camera bag

My Tamron 16-300mm, Sigma 10-20mm wide angle, Nikon Micro 40mm, Nikon 55-300 and trustworthy, all rounder Nikon 18-55mm lenses.

Feedback

Patience and more patience. I spent a considerable amount of time waiting before capturing this shot.
