I love how the background looks like it was caught in the web! Excellent creativity!

This photo was taken of a floating dock through a dew covered spider web on Lake St. Charles in Maine.Time
The photo was taken in the mid-morning on a foggy day.Lighting
We saw, and I took photos of, several spider webs covered in dew. This particular shot turned out to be the best of the lot.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Canon PowerShot SX150 IS. The exposure time was 1/320 sec and the ISO speed was was 80. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
We were cleaning up my brother-in-laws house on the lake before leaving for from our stay there. This was really a photo of opportunity. I had taken several shots at the lake and when we cleaning up the patio we came upon the spider webs and the rest is history.Editing
I did very little post-processing, I sharpened the image a little and brightened the color just a tiny bit. The shot was really quite good as it was and didn't need much editing. In my camera bag
On that particular trip I was travelling very light and had only the camera with me. I've since then I've replace that camera with a Canon EOS Rebel SL1. I also carry, in my camera bag a Tamron AF 70-300mm Tele-Macro lense and a Canon EFS 24mm wide angle lense. Additionally I carry a monopod.Feedback
The weather on Lake St. Charles, in Maine, is frequently foggy and quite humid. This made for ideal conditions to catch dew on spider webs, plants, flowers and etc. The best advice I can give is to always be prepared as you never know when a great shot of opportunity will present itself.
