Beautiful, that must have taken alot of work. Is the dog a wolf hybrid by any chance?

This looks awesome! Great skill and both the girl as the wolf are standing just in the right place. I would love to have this photo as wallpaper!

I took this image on a wintery day in my backyard.Time
It was around 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon when I shot this image.Lighting
The day was cloudy so the light was flat but the way the sun was positioned behind the clouds still gave some lovely shadowing from above.Equipment
I only used my Nikon D4s and my 70-200mm 2.8 lens for Nikon. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I wanted to work on my composite skills and I loved the idea of a wintery forest with a northern wolf. My daughter who was only 3 at the time was a very good poser and listener for this shot. I wanted an image to show her love of animals in a soft winter setting.Editing
Yes, I added the wolf post-processing and composited the image together of my daughter. It was not snowing that day so I added the snow as well in post. I sharpened, smooth skin lightly, as well as added color to the image to bring out more of the purple tones. In my camera bag
I always carry my 85mm and 200mm along with my Nikon D4s. I also carry extra memory cards and an extra battery.Feedback
Composites can be difficult to achieve a realistic look. When you are taking the image have a plan in place before hand on how you want the image to look. Pick out your animals prior and shoot accordingly. When you are working on the post-process editing make sure to add shadows and coloration slowly as to not overpower the image with too much shadowing for the lighting of the day.
