Location
I took this photo on the island Koh Samui in Thailand.Time
This was at sunrise. Around 6:30.Lighting
I made this photo laying as flat as possible to get the reflectionnof the colour on the water. I bracketed the shot into 3 shots and used the best of those.Equipment
I shoot with an old Nikon D200. My lens is even older, a Nikon 16mm fish eye. The tripod is one of no brand.Inspiration
I like the colours change fast in nature. Therefor i like the sunrise and sunset times of the day. But with a sunrise something else comes too. The people are not out on the road yet and everything is quiet and peaceful. The only thing what is a bit hard, is to get out of the bed early. And if you then arrive to see this scene in front of your eyes, then you know that it is going to be a good day.Editing
I use Lightroom first for the rough edit. Then i use Photoshop with the Nik software plugins and Topaz. In my camera bag
Nikon D200, 18-70 kit lens, 16mm fish eye lens, 60mm macro lens and a 100-400 tele lens. A tripod and an home made shutter release........Feedback
Look for the light. Search for little pools where the light can be reflected in. Get down on ground level and search for different angles. You will ne amazed with what you can achieve with some exercise... look around 8f there is nothing you missed. Put down the camera and make some shots. But also walk around a bit before the light whow starts. Maybe there are more features what can be interesting as a foreground. Be creative and look for compositions you likel
