Well crafted, artistic images like this are few and far between. There's is an intriguing story hidden in this shot. Voted.

I grew up on the Gulf Coast and have always loved the beach on a stormy day. This photo speaks to the heart and soul. Beautifully done. You made my heart ache for her and my mind wonder what has brought her to this sad state. A true photo of beauty and emotion.

Tells a wonderful story. Looks like a fine oil painting. This from a guy who usually does not like any visible post editing.

I like the afternoon light. It eliminates harsh shadows and you get a nice color to the sky. Try bracketing a few shots to get a few different exposures. Sometimes they come in handy when you are creating your final image.Equipment
This was shot hand held with my Canon 5D Mark II and 24-105L lensInspiration
My youngest son, Matthew, has severe Autism. I took this image on his 16th birthday. Matthew is non-verbal and has numerous other health issues. We were all at our family condo in Florida celebrating his sweet sixteen, but I could not stop thinking of what his life would be like without Autism. First car, first date...things he will never experience. I blew up the balloons, wrapped the presents...but I was aching inside for everything that he was missing out on in life. Photography is my therapy, so I grabbed my best friend and headed to the beach. She knew what I was going through, and my need to express that through a photograph. After an hour of selecting the "just right" sand dune, we hiked it, with all of my equipment. It was on Navarre Beach, and a tiny strip of land where there was ocean on one side and swamp on the other. I remember being terrified of the local alligators and thinking one would creep upon us at any minute! I knew the second I snapped the shutter, we nailed it. It was everything I was feeling. Yes, a beautiful day in a beautiful place, but I could not quiet the inner sadness.Editing
I worked on this image quite a bit with textures to add drama. In my camera bag
