Lilly was a paid model at workshop after a studio session we decided to wonder around outside. The contrast of Lilys blonde hair and pale skin caught my eye against the dark brown bricks of a local church, As we were leaving the church i noticed the green foliage i thought this gave Lilly as softer lookEditing

I dont think you can do much better than natural light ( my personal opinion) and whilst i believe that you should have a good idea of the shoot you want dont be afraid to deviate from the original idea as with this shot . Bokeh always tends to lift the subject . Try to catch the highlights move the subject around until you get the light highlighting the area you want .With Lilly it was the right side of her head and her ponytail . this will add some structure in the shot . When you are starting out record your camera settings this will be a helpful reference until you are confident with camera settings
