Thanks for entering this into my Seemingly Random Objects challenge. The public are still voting (with odd choices), but I thought I'd mention it's made my own top 10 shortlist. Really like it!

Location
This was taken on a Snow Wheeling Run on the Mormon Emigrant Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. It's normally open during the summers for everyone but when winter comes it's closed to through traffic and you drive it at your own risk. It's a lot of fun for the off road clubs who are equipped and prepared for a trail. We also get to do a service to many others who mistakenly attempt it in their cars thinking they can get to a ski resort that way and get stuck.Time
This was taken approximately 11:30 on a Saturday morning.Lighting
Lighting was very overcast but the snow and the trees were beautiful anyways. Some adjustment was needed in post processing.Equipment
This photo was actually taken with my old original Canon EOS Digital Rebel and a basic lens that came with it. (I believe it was an 18-55mm). No other equipment was used as that was all I had at the time. It was my first DSLR and I learned a lot with it. It also took a good beating while out on the trails to get these shots.Inspiration
Inspiration for this photo came as not only documenting the trip and to share with others what many couldn't partiicpate in but also the humor in it. The snow was so deep that the thought of a "Bump" in the road made for a good laugh as did the "Speed Limit 55" I have in another photo from the same trip. How could you NOT stop to capture the scene?Editing
Due to the heavy overcast I did do some post processing on this one. I believe a little HDR Toning to bring out some of the details and to improve some contrast/lighting. Wasn't a lot but made a definite difference and improvement. Normally I try not to do much post processing if any but sometimes the slightest bit of adjustment to the exposure or shadows/highlights can really make the photo better. In my camera bag
At the time this photo was taken the only equipment was the camera and single lens. I didn't even have a bag for it! Now a days I have a camera bag that generally has my Canon 5D with it's kit 24-105 lens as well as a 180 macro and/or 70-200 zoom depending on what I think I'll be photographing. In my everyday run-around bag I carry a Rebel 5Ti with the 18-55 kit lens as well as a 60mm macro and a 70-300 zoom.Feedback
My advice to others trying to get a shot like this is to BE PREPARED! While snow wheeling (or just being out in conditions like this) is a lot of fun, it's not a game. You not only have to think about your photography equipment and what environments it can handle but you also have to prepare for survival if things go wrong. Also, don't go alone! If you have the chance to go on an adventure like this then make sure you have plenty of batteries/charging ability and a way to help keep the items warm as the cold can mess things up for you. (batteries die quick!) Then go out and shoot away! These outings are NEVER the same twice so *ANYTHING* you think might be fun to shoot or make for an awesome shot go for it! It can be a once in a lifetime event.
