Location
This image was captured on Fraser Island off the coast of Queensland, Australia.Time
It was in the middle of the day in a rainforest.Lighting
The bird was in the shade.Equipment
Camera was Nikon D200, 80-200mm Nikon f2.8 lens and monopod. ISO400, 1/45sec, at f2.8 Because the D200 has a small sensor the lens was a 300mm lens.Inspiration
I like to photograph anything, so while working on the island for awhile I had time to go off exploring and taking photos.Editing
Not much processing was done on this image, just levels and sharpening. In my camera bag
I have Nikon equipment, now days I have a D800 with a D700 as a backup, 17-35 f2.8, 35-70 f2.8, 80-200 f2.8, 2x converter, 50mm f1.4 and 50mm macro plus a few other lenses. I have a separate bag for my Nikon flash heads x 3 and pocket wizards.Feedback
Well with animals you have to be patient, very quite and no sudden movement.
