This captivating image showcases a monumental moment captured in the construction world. The towering boom of a crane stretches gracefully across the frame, its massive form commanding attention. Crowning this captivating scene is a captivating sky, veiled by layers of clouds, creating a dramatic ambiance. However, the ethereal dance between sunlight and clouds transforms this spectacle into something almost surreal. As the sun's radiant beams pierce through the atmospheric veil, the clouds seem ablaze, igniting in a mesmerizing display of fiery hues. This composition carries a powerful blend of industrial strength and natural beauty, capturing a unique encounter with urban and celestial elements fused together in breathtaking harmony.

Behind The Lens

Location

Roundhouse Park , Toronto

Time

It would have been sometime around noon

Lighting

It was a fairly overcast day, but the sky was blue when the clouds would shift. Periodically it would get dark and I noticed certain areas in the park where the sunlight was still managing to burst through the cloud coverage. In this image, I managed to catch the sun hidden by these beautiful fluffy clouds and the crane was just there looming above me, it was a bonus.

Equipment

Canon EOS Rebel SL3

Inspiration

I was out with my partner, just wanting to take some pictures and get better acquainted with my camera.

Editing

This is one of the few images that I have managed to capture and not require any post processing. I got lucky on my timing.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS Rebel SL3, lens cleaner and a cloth. Starting out, so I don't have much but doing the best I can with what I have.

Feedback

Take many picture when starting out, you may end up capturing something unexpected.
