Stunning!! Congratualtions on being the \"People's Choice\" in my challenge, \"Bette Davis Eyes.\" It was actually a contender for the win, so I am glad that you won this award. Well-deserved. 👍👍😊

Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at my models house in a small bedroom which made this shoot particularly challenging working in such a small space

Time

Just after lunch.

Lighting

This was a simple 2 light set up one as a hair light and one main key light creating a subtle Rembrandt effect.

Equipment

I used a canon eos90d with a sigma 105mm 1.4 art lens, a godox ad200pro with soft box and a godox v2 speed light

Inspiration

My model has great eyes which I wanted to really show under her bright red hair and pale skin

Editing

I removed a few blemishes from her skin using frequency separation and increased the brightness in sections of her hair to give it a more 3d look, I also sharpened her eyelashes and tattoos just to give the image more depth.

In my camera bag

I always carry a sigma 50mm 1.4 art, sigma 105mm 1.4 art and canon 70-200 f4 Along with a Godox v2 speed light

Feedback

The main thing to do with capturing an image like this is controlling the ambient light and getting a sharp focus on the eyes it may take a few attempts to get your lighting dialled in but the results can be pretty impressive
