the bridge was completed in 1636 across Conwy river. The tea room with the ivy turning red in autumn was once a farm house then a court house.

Behind The Lens

Location

This is the iconic Tea room in Llanrwst North Wales.

Time

Early morning around 6.30 in the morning with the first rays of sunrise.

Lighting

Natural side lighting gives a three-dimensional feel to the landscape.

Equipment

A Canon 5D Mark III, Manfrotto tripod, Canon wide angle lens, Polarising filter and a Lee 10 big stopper.

Inspiration

The ancient tea room and the arched bridge are iconic photographic sites. I planned this foto until autumn and changed the Ivy for a dramatic capture.

Editing

Yes. I shoot in RAW. Colour balancing, exposure control, and sharpening were used in post-production.

In my camera bag

I plan the shoot. Usually the camera, the needed lens, the tripod, the set of filters, and the remote shutter release.

Feedback

Plan the shoot, select the equipment, and check the direction of the sun and time for the best direction of lighting.
