I love the "roots!" When I first looked at it, I was trying to figure out where the tree was that was casting a shadow! Beautiful shot!

Location
The photo was taken on the beach of San Pedro de Antromero, on the coast of Asturias, Spain.Time
On the trip I made with some fellow photographers, we were looking for a place on the coast of Asturias that could make a good sunrise and we found this place. So we got up early to catch the sunrise and went to this beach. The photo was taken around 6:45 in the morning.Lighting
As there were some clouds blocking the sun the conditions were not ideal, but just when I found the drawing on the sand the sun appeared through a gap in the clouds and reflected on the water above the sand. I lowered the height of the camera to get a reflected illumination on the sand.Equipment
The equipment I used to take the picture was as follows: Manfrotto tripod MT055XPRO3 Olympus OMD E-M1X camera Olympus M.zuiko ED 7-14mm f2.8 Pro Lens Shutter release cableInspiration
Initially I was looking for framing among the stones on the beach, but at a certain moment I saw the drawing on the sand and I saw the photo immediately, with the sun rising and the drawing looked like roots...Editing
In this case I edited separately the sky and the ground, working more on the drawing of the sand to make it stand out in the final image. In my camera bag
Having Olympus equipment reduced in size and not being exclusively dedicated to landscapes, I usually carry a lot of equipment in my backpack. I usually carry 2 camera bodies (one E_M1X and one E-M1 MarkII) A 7-14mm f2.8 wide angle, a 12-40mm f2.8 all-rounder, a 40-150mm f2.8 telephoto zoom and a 300mm f4 bird telephoto as well as a duplicator. Additionally I can carry a 60mm macro and several filters for the light. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)Feedback
The ideal is to access the place before to look for the framing and calculate where the light will come from to think how to take the pictures. Although in this case due to time I went the same day, and I found the drawing in the sand by chance. In any case, once on the site you should not be in a hurry, see the terrain and try the framing to get the photo you are looking for.
