Love it! How did you get this light? Is it natural, or does the photo have some sort of post-edit?

Thanks for your comment. It is indeed natural light. I was just lucky to be there at that time when the light managed to reach the forest floor

Location
The photo is taken in the famous Dutch forest called Speulderbos.Time
I went to the forest before dawn, waiting for the first light to reach the forest floor. On this spot enough light penetrated through the canopy to let the leaves shine. It was 10:00 am before the light could find its way through the forest.Lighting
I tried to set the exposure for the lightest spot in the frame, which was the leaves. I used aperture priority and dialed the exposure compensation about 2 stops down. With aperture f/11 and ISO100 I got an exposure time of 1,3 seconds.Equipment
I udes a Canon EOS 1Dx with an 24-70mm zoom lens. I had the camera on tripod, and used 39mm focal length to get the right composition.Inspiration
I wanted to capture the beautiful forest light, to achieve a magical atmosphere that could be a scenery from a fairytale.Editing
I used Lightroom for postprocessing. As always I set the black point and white point, changed midtones to my liking and increased the saturation. I cropped the image to 4:5 ratio. In my camera bag
I carry my camera with me, in this case an Canon EOS 1Dx and the EF24-70mm f/2,8L II. I also have the 70-200mm lens for more intimate landscapes. Sometimes I have the 16-35mm also, but I prefer the 24-70mm more. Not in my bag, but always present, is a sturdy tripod.Feedback
Get up early, stay late. Enjoy the location, look around instead of shooting a lot, and see things. If you see thing, than it is time to start photographing. Play with the light and wait until it is the way you like it.
