I’ve probably gone to Yosemite a hundred times through the years, but I’ve only had the opportunity to photograph these elusive animals three times. They never stick around long and they choose to travel through dense brush rather than trails, making them a challenge to shoot. To some, a bobcat may not be as visually exciting as an animal like a grizzly or a wolf, but from a photography standpoint, I feel it’s more rewarding. It’s animals like this that continue to fuel my love for documenting wild things in wild places.
