Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in my home studio in January 2021.Time
It was one of the afternoon shoots during lock-down, while my son was working on his online school lessons.Lighting
The lighting consisted of a soft-box placed underneath translucent product table :-)Equipment
The photo was taken with Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera and EF 24-70 f/2.8L Lens. And a Lensball of course :-)Inspiration
The refraction photography has been increasingly popular. I decided to buy a lensball and try it. As is often the case with a new lens - you want to experiment with it and see what the world looks like through it. This is usually a huge inspiration and results can be very interesting. I placed my patterned shirt on a product table and lit it from underneath with a softbox.Editing
I converted the image to black and white and sharpened it for best effect. In my camera bag
I carry Canon EOS 5D MkIII or Canon EOS 6D with Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L lens or Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 lens. I usually have one more lens strapped to the camera holster - wide, tele or a specialty lens. I always have have circular polarizer filter attached to my lens.Feedback
Experiment with your lensball and try to create something truly unique.
