Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in my hallway during lockdown 3.

Time

This was taken at 11am, after spending an hour on a make up look as I like to work on all aspects of visual creativity.

Lighting

I used natural light, due to my white walls, it works fairly well most times of the day.

Equipment

I used a amazon tripod, the Canon 6D with my Yongnuo 50mm len

Inspiration

I have ADD, so I need to be creative to help work with it. This was just to show off my portraiture work, something that lockdown has really stopped for me.

Editing

I converted it into black and white, up some of the contrast and very lightly softened the skin so you still have texture. I like my photos to have texture and look human still.

In my camera bag

Normally it's my Canon 6D with 28-105mm lens, my 50mm lens, my Instax 11 camera and printer, plus string lights.

Feedback

Don't over complicate it. Don't look at the camera, you want it to look like it's just been taken in the moment
