This was taken at the Minnesota State Fair in August 2019

Time

This was taken at the end of a long day at the fair around 9-10 in the evening.

Lighting

The lighting for this stand "popped" against a dark background as it was somewhat isolated from the rest of the fair and stood out like an island.

Inspiration

We stopped to get some refreshment after a long day at the fair and were sitting at a picnic table enjoying a drink and relaxing. Since it was the end of a day there weren't many people around it added a kind of loneliness to the scene, contrasting to the crowds it normally has in front.

Feedback

As almost everyone has noted, the ubiquitous iPhone or Android phone cameras are so handy and have gotten so good that for almost any kind of picture that you aren't going to enlarge it's hard to beat. Caring around an SLR all day at the fair ( unless that's your mission ) seems a bit much!
