Thank you. After 50 years of trying, I have finally figured out how to photograph the moon. I have another, older, moon photo in my gallery that has a 'Behind The Lens' write-up on how I did it.

Thank you. Amazingly enough, this was taken with my only non-Canon lens. It is the Tamron 150-600mm zoom lens. I bought it because the price was right and the reviews were positive. It really is an amazing lens, albeit both big and heavy.

Thank you, sir. This was taken at 600mm with my only non-Canon lens, a Tamron 150-600mm zoom. The manual settings (ISO 100, f/8, 1/60th) were learned from a Tony Northrup YouTube video. Cropped and processed in Lightroom, et voila'.

Thank you, Daniela. I have just one piece of advice. As you get photography equipment, remember that the lens is probably more important than the camera for photos of the moon. The camera needs to be high resolution, but not very expensive. Also, you will want a solid tripod. I hope you enjoy this hobby as you move into it. Be well and stay happy. - Steve

Thank you. This and my other photos of the moon satisfied my 40+ year desire to get a detailed shot of the moon. I'm getting the hang of it.

Thank you. I have another photo posted called 'Moon Close-up' which is taken from this photo and blown up even further. I think I had 100 rejects to get this one shot.

Thank you. I am always impressed with the sharpness of this Tamron lens when I do my job with all the other variables.
