Location
At my friends home - she had appropriate design at those times - white walls with imitation of paint smudges.Time
As we barely see the light through November-January and almost forgot how does sun look like, the was no big difference at what time we would start.. this photo was taken at 4 pmLighting
I wished both of the models to be lighted equally with no any extra shadows , so i just directed the flash onto ceiling to give more soft faces lightening then direct flash.Equipment
This was shot with Nikon D700, Tamron 28-75 lens, on focal length 55 mm with f/5. Flash was also involved.Inspiration
I enjoy to watch people around. In this particular case i wished to show the beauty of both models in their slight contrast to each other.Editing
Usually faces need lot of retouch, but in this particular case due to very good makeup and natural beauty of both girls, i just corrected it with Curves layer, made Exposure a little bit brighter and corrected skin color to make it more white and snowy. In my camera bag
Nikon D700 with my absolute favorite portrait lens Nikkor 85mm f1.8, another great lens i admire and use frequently for reportage shootings is Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8. I also have Nikkor 50mm f1.8 in my bag, and for mysterious shots with the minimum postproduction i like to use Lensbaby lenses.Feedback
As in this shot i tried to show the beauty of both girls - just be attentive to people you are working with - maybe you will find something so unusual in them that this immediately will be reflected in your pictures..
