This is a bittersweet photo for me. I took this at Great Sand Dunes National Park in the evening hours.
During my time in Alamosa, the Spring Fire was raging. The Spring Fire was only about 5 miles, as the crow flies, from the location. I didn't do much in post processing to this photo: the haze you see is the smoke from the fire - it was very thick to the point of gagging. But it created these AMAZING colors during the sunset - so very bittersweet how such beauty can exist amidst such badness.
