Superb Composition

I like this picture but it is missing something, does it need to be darker, more fade, darker venigrette rather than lighter... any advice I would love it. This one I just feel like I'm almost there with it. What now. Can anyone recommend a good photo editor that's not too complicated. I'm no where necessary doing the layering yet.
