Location
The photo was taken in a base camp from a trekking tour through Vladeasa Mountains- Romania (800 M altitude), on the shore of a barrier lake.Time
As you can see, it was taken at nightfall, in February. It was a spectacular sunset. I took lots of shots for almost half an hour. I found this one of the most spectacular.Lighting
It is obviuos that I was attracted by the light and the colour. As you can notice I know the place very well (I have more shots of the same scene) https://www.viewbug.com/photo/58101223 and https://www.viewbug.com/photo/5125763 I knew that the barrier lake would colour the clouds in warm colours and I made most of the contrast created by the blue sky. A good chance was the view of the sunset.Equipment
I took this shot with Canon 60D body + 8 mm fish eye, manual focus lens. Of course I used tripod, too.Inspiration
The beauty of the landscape was my first source of inspiration. Here, as I have mentioned, the worm and the cold contrast from this scene was the one that caught my eye and I made most of it.Editing
At this shot, in particular, I corrected only the deformation of the lens. ( here I even used a fish eye lens) There are certain corrections of contrast and brightness. That’s all.In my camera bag
When I leave home, I only think of taking pictures. So I carry with me anything I need: the tripod, the lens, filters. In my landscape photo I often use an ultrawide lens of 10-20mm on a 60D Canon body.Feedback
Go and take photos! You will not be able to take such photos if you sit in front of the Tv or the computer. Chances to catch such an atmoshere are bigger if you go more often. In order to achieve your purpose it is very important to do some reseach of the spot (geography location) and the moment (weather forecast, phases of the moon, season) Think and take action!
