Behind The Lens
Location
These photo was taken in Adriatic Sea, near Ravenna. Far in the sea, the oil platforms.Time
I took this photo at 9,00 AM.Lighting
The Sun was in front of me, to expand the light's effects I edited the Raw file to maximize the sensation of the "Birth of the Day".Equipment
I used a D700 camera with AF-S Nikkor 35mm F/1.8G EDInspiration
I'm constantly inspired to find the best light for the subject. For this photograph I wanted to give the feeling of of being able to breathe freely and to look far away.Editing
In that conditions, the sky has normally a full luminance. I edited the Raw file to increase the contrast and the saturation with a lower light, only in the sky. The profile of the man with the hat creates balance on the horizontal lines of the background giving dynamicity to the scene with the "warm tones" of the sky.In my camera bag

In every situation where the nature shows its borders, like in front of the sea, the human mind too much often one gets lost to look for something that it is not seen. The photographic eye cannot capture this that sees the human eye, for this is the photographic technique that helps, above all in post-production, to give again balance to a beautiful scene. In this situation the photographer must "look close to see far away" beyond the scene, in order to give back it to the observer in personal way, but conserving the essential elements that it has been found in front of.
