Thank you for participating in my "Rusty Things" challenge!

Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken in Saint Malo, France. A not very old fence was losing the fight with the corrosive sea.

Time

It was near the sunset

Lighting

The colour of light at that time becomes magical in everywhere and makes light softer tending to yellow, making photography warmer increasing the rusty texture of the fence due to the reverberation in acute angles.

Equipment

No other thing than my Nikon D90 and a 18-105mm zoom

Inspiration

The harshness conditions around the sea areas are clearly visible over metal surfaces. To relate something about the fence oxidation I tried to get low the vision angle trying to show on the back the sea to close the circle and determinate thus the cause of the state of the metal

Editing

Some basical tone corrections

In my camera bag

I usually carry my camera with nothing but one lens. It is very uncomfortable for me to carry or change lens outdoors.

Feedback

It is very important to take into account the juxtaposition. At first try I took the picture of the fence solely, but reorganization is a main task, so I added the sea at the background to tell more
