Location
This photo was taken on my balcony in Sweden. From my kitchen window I hope and wait for animals to come on my compositionsTime
Light is always a challenge. There is not much day hours to shoot. The animals have to come on the right time. I have to be home and there must be the right light. In this case 2014-08-17 14:51:38.003Lighting
Because the position of my composition is there almost always backlight I have different lights in between me and the composition to balance it and to shoot at max iso 640Equipment
The often low light on my balcony force me to have a tripod. With the 500 mm sigma and nikon d7100 I shot this. This is for me a extreme shot. In this case I was lucky that the squirrel just did not move. with the 800 iso and 100 exposure am I on the max of a good quality photo with the camera I haveInspiration
In the most photos I take I want to create a kind of magic realism. Seeing something and thinking is that realy possible. My love for nature and art comes often back in my photosEditing
There is always some processing in my work. I shoot in RAW, bring it to lightroom for sharpening and lens correction there after in photoshop RAW to gife it some vignette and lower highlightsIn my camera bag
Often a small bag with a tripod, filters, remote, cleaning stuf, battery, and macro tubes.Feedback
It took me months of work to create contact with the animals. Every time they came I opend my window. Worked with food and clicking of the camera and getting used to me. This takes alot of investment. After that is is getting easier. Back focusing help me alot in making shots of animals and all my extra lamps has a remote control so I can turn them on from my possition.
