Location
Muffin was sitting in his bed with his head up as I was moving into position for a photo, playing around really. By accident I got this masterpiece. was in the basement watching tv.Time
Was round 8pm I believe. He wasn't tired yet, so he was very alert.Lighting
I had my mother move a standing lamp with a adjustable arm to shadow his face better. The light was bout 4ft off the ground and at a slight compound angle to be "off lit". All other room lights were off aside from that, might have been slight blue hues from the tv, at a angle bout 6 feet of the group.Equipment
A canon T6I with a 18-135 II IS lens, with a 2.2x 58mm front lens + adapter to 67mm of the 18-135.Inspiration
I was still learning my camera , being only 3-4 months into my photography journey. I loved my dog and he was a very good and at times compliant subject. Later on muffin became a better subject and let me take a lot of shots of him.Editing
Very little, little underexposed for my taste. But small touches. At the time I was not great at editing. guessed a lot still. In my camera bag
I have since changed my layout, but at the time I had, everything it it I owned when I bought my kit. Now I run a (my first camera) Canon T6I, now with a battery grip, and a 18-135 III IS USM lens primarily. I pack 3 batteries. charger and crossbody strap and a canon 100-400 f4L I IS USM. All that in a Cwatsun 2.0L(?) camera bag.Feedback
The biggest factor in this photo is lighting and a Digital Concepts HD 2.2x telephoto front lens. I was about 5-6 FT away, at long end of the 18-135 lens. The compression is multiplied(I guess) and more obvious with the additional front lens group.
