I was just about to comment that the fog in this phototure makes it look like something straight out of a fairy tale....then I read your description. Spot on.

Wonderful shot Shireen, looks almost prehistoric in appearance with the fog and sun rays through the trees. Stayed in Wales myself a year or so back in Llangynog but the closest I got to Llandudno was Conwy Castle. Shame I wasn't aware of this place then as I would of visited it. Paul.

Location
On the Great Orme, in Llandudno, North Wales in England.Time
About 4.30pm GMT on Easter Monday 2015Lighting
It was a foggy day, we had taken our 3 children up on the tram, to the summit of the Great Orme - the headland mountain of Llandudnu. Once we reached the top, we were above the clouds and the sun was shining hot. As we made our way back down, on the other side of the Great Orme, we headed to Alice in Wonderland- Happy Land, this side of the mountain dedicated to the author Lewis Carrol who wrote the Alice in Wonderland children's fairy tale. There are beautiful gardens, stone sculptures, carved wooden chairs in Alice in Wonderland characters and stunning trees. It was these trees, within the misty fog, the sun was shining through. It gave off stunning sunrays through the branches, fighting with the fog. With it being Easter, Early April 2015, with the mist, the temperature was damp and cold for early spring. This photograph was captured exactly as seen. No editing required to show off these stunning sun rays.Equipment
Just my old camera Samsung NX 3000 with my 50-200 lens. No tripod or flash. Just shot as I saw.Inspiration
The lighting was just magical, the sunrays just beaming out and bouncing around in the fog. Happy land is quite a magical place anyway, but I found it incredibly errie and quiet, surreal and beautiful all at the same time.Editing
No! Nothing! Seen as originally shot. Was beautiful in its original form.In my camera bag
I have different camera now, my Nikon D3200 goes everywhere with me. Along with my 18-55 lens, my wide angle lens, also my 50-300 lens. I always carry spare SD memory card, and battery, aswell as lens cleaning brush and wipes. I have recently purchased coloured filters but am in need of a larger bag to fit these in!Feedback
I was very lucky- in the right place at the right time to capture this photograph. I would suggest to always having your camera with you. I have missed many an opportunity of a great shot by not carrying my camera with me everywhere. Experiment by going to the same place at different times of day and different times of year. The colour of your scene changes so drastically with the changes of the seasons, changes of weather and different hours of the day. And always take lots of shots, you never know which will capture the perfect moment. Be patient. Sometimes, as in this photograph, luck is on your side, other times you need to wait for that perfect shot.
