I love that lock of her hair that is blowing in the wind. I also adore that pose with the hey, the simplicity of the background, and that beautiful sky! I also think its absolutely perfect in black and white!

For me this is a lot better than the winner with its badly photoshopped stars. Great shot

Well, not that much. The sun was going down at my back, and in front of me the sky was cloudy. This is a perfect environment to get a dramatic mood. I also love black & white photography in direct sunlight, so it was really one of my favourite lighting conditions!Equipment
This is a Nikon D3S with an 85mm f/1.4 AF-D. Just natural light here.Inspiration
I wished to make some wedding portraits together with hay bales. We (me and the couple) knew this a lot of days before the wedding day, so we were particularly excited after the ceremony. We wanted that so bad. What we couldn't preview was the weather and the lighting conditions. I guess we have been lucky. I loved that weak blow of wind moving her hair.Editing
Of course a good black and white conversion needs some work to be done, especially on the channel mixer. I simulated a red/orange filter here, and dealt a bit with exposure and contrast. The vignetting is almost fully natural (the lens is wide open at f/1.6).In my camera bag
For wedding reportage I'm used to work quite light. I carry two cameras on a Black Rapid double sling (Nikon D700 + D3s) and 4 primes in a front bag (20mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm).Feedback
Well... we have told everything about it. I think some luck with the conditions, as I had, would help a bit! Nothing difficult, just a good composition. ;)
