This photo was taken in a old cemetary in Maine.Time
This photo was shot on 10-27-2014 @ 2:17 PM.Lighting
It was an chilly overcast day, in other words a perfect for people who enjoy walks thru cemeteries. Being in Maine at this time of year is spectacular, they have the most stunning autumn colors.Equipment
The camera equipment used in this shoot was a Tamron 28-80mm 177D mounted on an old Nikon D70s.Inspiration
Having arrived at this cemetery i was struck by a few of the angelic monuments. I felt somewhat connected to the feeling this statue in her chains and felt rather empathetic as she gazed into the heavens. After that I kept trying different angles to try and capture what i believed statue was exuding. To me she seemed to somehow shackled here on Earth while her beloved was elsewhere, and so helpless.Editing
Obviously from this photo u can see a bit of post-processing here. However, I really don't have much of a photoshop background. Like zero. i had just come across a new program alot of folks are using these days called Lightroom. The original photo needed a little something more, and i was feeling a little creative that day and just kept playing with different ideas and finally this image just started to present itself. Call it luck.In my camera bag
I have a few camera toys but not a lot. I have an old Nikon D70s, a 177d 28-80mm Tamron, a 572D 70-300mm Tamron, and a recently acquired 100mm prime Tokina from a good friend as a gift.Feedback
Well I'm no expert thats for sure, that being said, I would suggest to anyone who loves photography to pursue shooting things u enjoy in your free time. Also there are a number of little groups available for free on the internet that often give out free user tips and tricks out there these days. Some of it is repetitive but there is always some little gem of knowledge in those articles. Also take as many shots as u can from different angles and distances, you may never have the time or chance to come across the subject matter again. Oh, and Have a Great Day...!
