Location
This image was taken at the beginning of my photographic journey. It was taken at a family day out at Warwick Castle in Warwickshire England.Time
The image was taken just after lunchtime, the birds are displayed quite close to the public, this Bald Eagle was most probably 6 foot away from me. They are not in cages but in an open area.Lighting
There was no harsh sunlight even though it was lunchtime and the bird was situated in a shaded area. So lighting was perfect.Equipment
It was taken with my 1st serious camera, which was a Sony hx100hv bridge camera, no flash or tripod.Inspiration
A week before visiting i was reading a magazine article that was giving you information to use for shooting images of wildlife, and i remembered it saying to make sure the eyes were in focus. So that what i done just made sure the eyes were in focus and i was extremely pleased with the outcome. As i was very new to photography i was using auto settings.Editing
Only edited in lightroom, highlight, shadows, adjusted whites and blacks, slight contrast and clarity. In my camera bag
I now use two cameras a Canon 600d and a Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II. For the Olympus i have a 14-42mm and a 40-150mm Lens and two spare batteries A great little camera which easily fits into my handbag when just walking around town. For the Canon 600d i have 70-300mm,18-55mm, 10-20mm and a 50mm. 3 nd filters 2,3 and a 6. A mini tripod, cable release button, an intervalometer, two spare memory cards, two spare batteries. Loads of spare aa and aaa batteries. I also have a notepad and pen, and a torch and head torch as my husband uses my camera for astrophotography and we go to quite dark places for him to achieve this. I have a manfrotta tripod which obviously don't fit in my bag. I still have my original Sony HX100v camera which my 13 year old son tends to use now.Feedback
I can't really give advice as i said this was the start of my photography journey, i just liked the images that i captured which in turn gave me a boost to continue with photography.
